FAQ

Frequently asked
questions.

If your question is not here, call (07) 839 2224 and we will talk it through.

How often should I have a facial?

For most skins, every four to six weeks keeps results building, because that matches the skin's own renewal cycle. If you are working on a specific concern such as pigmentation or congestion, your therapist may suggest a short course closer together, then a maintenance rhythm once you are happy.

Which facial is right for my skin?

Book any facial and we will tailor it on the day. Advanced facials with O Cosmedics or Nimue include a complimentary consultation, so we look at your skin, ask what you want it to do and choose the right products and steps. If you are short on time, the 30 minute Espresso Facial is a good first visit.

What should I do before and after a massage?

Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle, and let us know about any injuries, pregnancy or areas to avoid. Afterwards, drink plenty of water, keep the rest of your day gentle if you can, and expect to sleep well. A hot stone or full body treatment can leave you pleasantly heavy for an hour or two.

Do I need a patch test before a lash or brow tint?

If it is your first tint, or your first visit in a long while, yes. A quick patch test a day or two before your appointment is the safe way to rule out a reaction before anything goes near your eyes. It takes a minute and it is worth every second.

How often should I get my brows done?

Most people rebook brow shaping every three to four weeks, which keeps the shape crisp without overworking the hairs. Tint softens over a similar window. Your therapist will suggest a rhythm that fits how fast your brows grow and how defined you like them.

How long does my hair need to be for waxing?

About the length of a grain of rice, roughly a quarter of a centimetre, is ideal. That is usually two to three weeks of growth after shaving. Too short and the wax cannot grip; too long and it can tug more than it needs to. If you are unsure, leave it and we will trim on the day.

Does waxing hurt, and how long does it last?

There is a sharp moment as each strip comes away, and it eases quickly. First visits feel the most; regular waxing thins the regrowth and gets easier. Most people stay smooth for three to five weeks. Avoid hot showers, sun and tight clothing on the day, and exfoliate gently from a few days after to keep the skin clear.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Plans change, everyone understands that. Just give as much notice as you can, ideally twenty four hours, so the time can go to someone else. Our answer-phone takes bookings and reschedules 24 hours a day.
